bebepet

Terms of use

Last updated 19 October 2026.

Draft, not yet final

This is a first-pass set of terms, written to match what bebepet actually does today. A few details still need confirming before this is ready to publish properly. They're marked below in bracketed notes.

What bebepet is

bebepet is a listings platform for UK pet breeders and sellers. We research and publish breeder information, and we carry individual pet listings where we've found direct evidence of a current litter. We don't own, keep, sell, or take custody of any animal, and we're not a party to any sale between a buyer and a seller. Any agreement to buy, sell or rehome a pet is between you and the other person, not with us.

Using an account

You need to give accurate information when you create an account or a seller profile, and keep it up to date. You're responsible for anything posted under your account, and for keeping your login details to yourself.

Listing a pet

If you list a pet for sale or rehoming, you're confirming that what you've written is true: the animal's age, breed, health information and licensing status, and that any photo is of that specific animal. See how we vet breeders for what we check and what we don't. Listings that we find to be misleading, that fall outside what we allow (certain breeds and species, banned practices such as docking or advertising an animal "for rent"), or that use terms we treat as a warning sign, can be removed or refused.

Licence numbers and other claims shown on a listing are what the seller told us, checked against a local authority's public register only where we say a check has happened. We mark the difference clearly rather than imply a check took place when it hasn't.

Reports and enforcement

We review reports about listings and sellers, and may remove a listing, issue a strike, or suspend an account where we find a genuine problem. Repeated or serious issues can lead to a seller being banned from the platform. Decisions here are made by us and aren't subject to appeal through this page, though you're welcome to get in touch if you think we've made a mistake.

No guarantee

We research breeder and listing information ourselves, but we can't guarantee that every detail on the site is accurate, current, or complete, and we don't inspect animals or premises in person. Nothing on bebepet is a recommendation that a particular seller or animal is safe to buy from or trustworthy; where we say "nothing raised a flag", that's a statement about our checks, not a guarantee. Use your own judgement, and see buying safely before you commit to anything.

Liability

[Placeholder, needs legal review before this goes live: the standard limitation-of-liability wording for a UK listings platform, covering loss arising from a transaction between users, inaccurate third-party information, and site downtime. Not written here because getting this wrong is worse than leaving it blank for now.]

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use bebepet after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

[Placeholder, this is my working assumption rather than something Gordon has confirmed: these terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, as the usual default for a UK-based platform. Worth a final check once the legal entity itself is settled.]
