About bebepet

bebepet is a directory of UK pet breeders, built breed by breed. Each breeder's listing comes from their own website or a Kennel Club breed-club page, never copied from another classifieds site.

We're building this breed by breed, species by species, starting with the most commonly kept dogs, cats, rabbits and birds in the UK and expanding from there. Some breeds have more breeders on file than others at this stage — see the full breed list for what's covered so far.

What we haven't done yet

Licence numbers shown on breeder pages are what each breeder states, not something we've checked against the issuing local authority's own record. We mark that difference on every breeder's page rather than imply a check has happened when it hasn't. See how we vet breeders for what that work involves.

We don't yet carry adverts for individual puppies at scale. We only list one where we found direct evidence of a current litter during research, and never as a placeholder without that evidence.

What we won't do

We won't scrape listings from other classifieds sites — Pets4Homes' and similar sites' terms explicitly prohibit it, and we'd rather build our own research than take someone else's. We won't publish a breeder's phone number or address without asking them first; where we have a breeder's own website, we link to it instead.
